Sadness is surrender?
Today, a blind kitten came up to me. It was deathly thin. I scratched it briefly on its head. A kid on a scooter kicked it out of his way. Later, I saw it in the bushes as I was leaving work. I called to it, and it didn’t react, it just sat there in peace. I think it wanted to die alone. I was the last person to show affection to a little creature which had seen no kindness before it died.
So easy to lose faith when one just opens his eyes. Sadness is not surrender because surrender is easy.
